1-abc.net File Renamer Description
1-abc.net File Renamer is a self-explanatory software utility whose sole purpose is to allow you to batch rename files.
Add files and folders to be renamed
Any file or folder can be imported into a list by using the file or folder browser, since the ‘drag and drop’ function isn’t available. Once you have created your list, you can sort the files by moving them up or down, as well as remove the ones you don’t find necessary to rename. Then, you can proceed and remove text from the filename, enter prefixes or suffixes, replace all characters with numbers and other words, change the file extension and capitalize or not letters for each word.
Additionally, you can convert the letters to lowercase or uppercase, re-arrange words within the filename or trim characters either from the beginning or the end of each name.
Moreover, you can define your own names, leave the default name unchanged or replace parts of the filename. Also, attributes such as figures, time and dates can be added.
Sort file lists and view reports
In case you want to change the order of files before renaming them, you can do that based on their name, path, size, creation, last modification or access date.
The preview feature enables you to view how the final filenames look like after renaming, and if you are satisfied with the results, you can apply the changes automatically to all the files within the list. Additionally, you can access a summary with all the files you have renamed that can be saved as a TXT document or can be printed out.
