4T2 Content Analyser Description

Geared toward professionals, 4T2 Content Analyser is a comprehensive software application that comes packed with advanced options and configuration settings to help you analyze MPEG-TS files containing DVB or ATSC television programs.

Comprehensive interface

After a fast setup operation, you are welcomed by a large window split into numerous tabs, dedicated to the input and output, source scan, XTASI-RF, XTASI-S2, XTASI-S2+, T2-MI, TR 101 290, alarm evaluation, raw data, TS packets, SI tables, services and PIDs, video analysis, table distribution, PCR, and stream capture.

Edit settings and analyze technical information

Once you select the input files or devices, you can configure parameters regarding the frequency, polarization, symbol rate, modulation, and packets, start the transport stream input, and analyze the stream data rate in a graphical representation. It’s possible to add as many input devices as you want.

You can check out the LNB status, discover transmission parameters and any errors, view the measured and announced stream data rate, open, examine, edit and save expressions (.txt files), investigate raw data in decimal or hexadecimal mode, as well as read log details. These are just part of the options provided by 4T2 Content Analyser.

Evaluation and conclusion

We haven’t come across any issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that the program didn’t hang, crash or display error messages. It had minimal impact on computer performance, running on low CPU and RAM. Unfortunately, it’s not intuitive for less experienced users.

All in all, 4T2 Content Analyser comes bundled with a wide range of advanced options to help you study MPEG-2 Transport Streams, and it’s free to use.
