Voxengo PHA-979 is a professional audio plug-in designed to help musicians and audio technicians apply an arbitrary phase shift to sound material.
The utility is particularly useful when you are processing the samples during the mixing sessions and if you have been recording through multiple microphones. To be more precise, you can correct any disturbances, noise or imbalances that arise due to the jack’s placements between sessions. Then again, there are going to be times when you need to align the instruments in order to get the desired crisp sound.
A further noteworthy function of the plug-in is that it is capable of time delay, so it eliminates the need to re-arrange in-track events in the sequencer when you are tweaking the time alignment over the recorded samples. In this situation, you can record stereo microphone pairs as a single stereo track without having to bother with a dual mono recording on separate tracks.
In addition, the utility comes with a multi-band analog-style correlation meters that can save you considerable time during the phase and time alignment processing.
Lastly, Voxengo PHA-979 includes a pre-defined setup headphone monitoring so that it resembles the one you are likely to have on the stage, so you can practice and test for live performances.
