Clipboard Recorder is a small Windows tool that enhances the standard Windows Clipboard utility, bringing features to automatically record all clipboard entries.
With a floating panel supposed to stay on top of all the other windows of the screen, Clipboard Recorder can record both text and graphics from almost any application running on your computer
What’s more, the program supports a great amount of formats, including RTF, HTML, CSV, BMP, meta files and embedded objects, while also providing a very handy feature to easily transfer clipboard content between network computers.
Additionally, Clipboard Recorder integrates a search utility to quickly look for a recorded clipboard entry, as it can record virtually an unlimited number of items.
An advanced settings screen is also available, allowing you to configure hotkeys and network transfers, but also the formats that are supposed to be handled by Clipboard Recorder.
Last but not least, the application can be configured to exclude clips from user-defined programs and thus give you full control over the Windows clipboard content.
The footprint on CPU and RAM is minimal, with Clipboard Recorder keeping an icon in the System Tray to provide instant access to all of its features. Some visual configuration options for the floating window however could help a lot.
All things considered, Clipboard Recorder does what it says without too much effort, but it still needs a bunch of improvements. Interface customization settings and a bit more user-friendly approach could attract a lot more users in this otherwise crowded software segment.
