Wise Video Player Description
Although Windows comes with an integrated media player, many users fancy third-party applications that offer a richer feature set. But aside the popular players, there are a few others that do their job just as well. Wise Video Player is one of the alternatives you can choose from.
Supports various file formats, both audio and video
When launching it, the first thing you will notice is the simple, yet modern interface. The main window encloses a list of formats that can be loaded by the application, including FLV, AVI, WEBM, MP4, WMV, RMVB, and DVD/CDs. Fortunately, the list is far from being over.
The same goes for the audio files. The assortment of accepted file formats includes ACC, MP3, MP2, WMA, MID, FLAC, APE, and many more. One important advantage is that Wise Video Player can also play Blu-ray content.
Playback controls and a minimal feature set
The basic controls of the playback and the volume are available, along with a few buttons to jump back and forth throughout the video. Aside from that, there are no options and no menus you can interact with.
The video can be played either in window mode or in full screen, these being some of the settings that can be easily modified via the right-click menu. Additionally, you can take a screenshot of the player and save it locally to a specific folder.
A simplistic video player with a small footprint
In comparison to its competitors, Wise Video Player delivers a much more simple and easy to use video player. Furthermore, it doesn’t require high resource allocation, as it manages to consume little storage space and memory. On the other hand, it lacks some of the features of more complex similar applications. Nevertheless, it worked flawlessly during our tests.
