FSeCPatch Description
There’s a considerable amount of code behind every file on your computer, and experienced individuals can make just about anything out of code. For instance, everything has a hexadecimal corresponded which directly targets visuals and functionality. As such, FSeCPatch comes with the means to help you view and edit HEX code.
View and edit HEX code of WinPE files
Setup is over before you realize and you can instantly take the application for a spin. The interface is quite intuitive and fitted with modern elements and textures. Most of the space represents the offset view structured in a large table for comfortable navigation. A side panel allows you to view corresponding data, and the log window shows all activities.
Loading a file is either done through a drag and drop operation or the browse dialog. You can process nearly anything under formats like EXE or BMP. It can take a little while for content to be read and displayed, but this mostly depends on the complexity and size of the file.
Jump to offset and convert HEX to decimal values
Navigation is done with the mouse or keyboard arrows. A double-click operation on a cell brings up a small window which allows you to modify the original value. Note that this can have serious effects on the file if you don’t really know what you’re doing.
The application can also display the corresponding data of the selected offset value. It’s possible to jump to a particular offset cell or directly to the first cell. Undo and redo options allow you to quickly fix any mistakes.
There’s a built-in calculator with which to find the decimal value from an input HEX code. Saving your work doesn’t overwrite your file but asks to create a new one, just so you don’t accidentally mess up the original item.
To end with
All things considered, we can state that FSeCPatch is a neat HEX editor which allows you to analyze and edit nearly any type of file at a HEX level. Actual data can be viewed and cell values modified in real-time. You can also convert HEX values to decimal through the built-in calculator.
