Acala DVD Audio Ripper is an application with a pretty self-explanatory title – it lets you extract the audio track from DVDs and convert it to various formats, including MP3, WMA, WAV and AAC.
The interface of the program is clean and intuitive. You can import a DVD by using the treeview only, because the “drag and drop” method is not supported.
In the list you can check out the title, duration, start and end time, along with output file of the DVD and its chapters.
So, all you have to do is establish the output destination and file type, in order to proceed with the encoding job.
But you can also configure audio options when it comes to the codec, sample frequency rate, channel mode, quality and volume, as well as edit metadata (e.g. author, album, genre). Settings can be restored to their default values at any time.
Moreover, you can select individual DVD chapters for processing, choose the audio track and enable Acala DVD Audio Ripper to keep the aspect ratio, preview clips in a small, built-in media player and cut them by marking the start and end position, as well as schedule the tool to automatically turn off the computer after conversion.
