English Helper for Windows 10/8.1 Description
Most of us know how hard it is to learn a new language by ourselves using various old or modern books. It’s time-consuming, while the toughest problems can create unnecessary stress and the complete loss of interest. English is considered one of the easiest languages as it comes with fewer verb conjugation and less complicated pronunciations. Some learn it faster by watching movies or TV shows while others have a hard time getting anything out of it. There are plenty of programs out there that offer simple means to master the basics of English quick and easy.
Easy-to-use and straightforward application
English Helper is one of the many apps on the Internet that comes bundled with several useful categories, such as irregular and modal verbs, curiosities, idioms and a few other verbs to help learn the tenses fast while reading some fun facts.
The program is installed through Windows Store and it’s compatible with the newer Windows systems, like 10, 8, 8.1. It’s wrapped in a user-friendly and self-explanatory interface with a combination of black and blue colors and with the categories neatly structured in distinct groups.
Learn more about symbols and words, read the proper verb rules and improve your vocabulary
In the first tab, you can read about a few fun facts about letters, words, sentences and symbols. For example, the latter, explains the several usages of the dot. Compared with other similar tools, English Helper provides examples for each area, like Idioms, where the term is followed by a simple example to understand the meaning correctly.
The irregular and modal verbs come in individual sections, and each provides a complete list with items conjugated in the most used forms (infinitive, the past, past participle) and some definitions. Plus, you can view what letters are silent in particular combinations, including, D, E, N, P, T, W or U. It would’ ve been a nice addition if the app came with a few simple exercises to consolidate the knowledge you gained.
The bottom line
Taking everything into account, English Helper is a reliable and accessible application that comes in handy to everyone who wishes to easily learn the conjugation of almost all used verbs in English, idioms and curiosities.
