In mathematics, more specifically in algebra, a square matrix is an algorithm designed to describe simple linear transformations. They are a panel of values, with the same number of columns as rows. The square matrix determinant is a value that represent certain properties of a specific number association. For instance, a matrix is invertible if and only if its determinant is a non-zero value.
The determinant is calculated using a fixed algorithm, using all the numbers contained within the matrix. DETERMINANT SOLVER allows you to enter the real values, as numbers into each field in the selected square matrix. Decimal numbers are also supported and the final result can be displayed with up to eight digits behind the comma.
Lightweight tool for simple algebra
While DETERMINANT SOLVER can ease the calculation of a square matrix determinant, reducing it to under one second, it can only support simple equations. The software allows you to choose between four options: a matrix with 3×3, 4×4, 5×5 or 6×6 values.
Additionally, if the numbers are large, the result can be a multiple digits number. The software can accurately calculate the result, but unfortunately, it cannot display the entire number, only up to 9 digits. The software could benefit from a resizable interface, that allows you to view the entire number, or a specific field in which the result can be displayed.
