Acala DVD Ripper Description
As the name of this software implies, Acada DVD Ripper allows you to convert DVDs to several media formats, including AVI, MPG, MP4, MP3, MOV and WMV.
The interface of the application is plain and simple to navigate through. You can import a DVD by using the treeview only, since the “drag and drop” method is not supported (and neither is batch processing).
In the queue you can check out the episode, duration, start and end time, as well as output filename of the DVD. After you set the output directory and profile, you can proceed with the encoding task.
In addition, you can select the audio track, subtitle language and angle, specify the maximum threads, as well as enable Acada DVD Ripper to keep the original aspect ratio and to automatically turn off the computer once the job is done.
But you can also select individual chapters for processing, preview clips and trim them by marking the start and end time, as well as configure audio and video settings regarding the codec, size, quality, frame rate, sample frequency rate, channel and volume. Settings can be restored to their default values at any time.
The DVD ripping software runs on a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a well-drawn tutorial with snapshots for novices, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a good image and sound quality.
No errors have been displayed during our tests. Unfortunately, the unregistered version displays a big watermark right in the center of the image. Otherwise, we strongly recommend Acada DVD Ripper to all users.
