Agisoft PhotoScan Description

Agisoft PhotoScan is a program that can help individuals create 3D images from at least two photos, as long as they contain an object that can be reconstructed.

The interface is highly intuitive, and therefore any type of person can learn how to work with it, regardless of how inexperienced they might be when it comes to computers. The only difficulty they might encounter is represented by the specialized terminology used at times.

The main window is comprised of a folder structure showing you all the items added to the workspace. Moreover, there is a preview panel for the uploaded photos and a thumbnail pane. In the latter you can rotate pictures, zoom in and out, as well as display masks and depth maps.

This software utility also enables you to edit the uploaded images with a number of built-in tools. For example, you can use a magic wand, intelligent scissors and paint tool, so that you can easily subtract, invert or add the selected object.

All the uploaded photos can be aligned with user-set accuracy (from low to medium and high) and a pair preselection. This option as well as 3D model reconstruction are fully automated.

Agisoft PhotoScan enables you to move 3D objects in any manner, and by using the scrollwheel zoom in and out is possible. Here you can also see the number of faces and vertices present in the resulted item. You have the possibility to decimate mesh, close holes, import or export textures, cameras and masks.

All in all, Agisoft PhotoScan is a useful piece of software that helps you construct 3D images from 2D ones. There are a lot of options available and, in our tests, there were no bugs or crashes registered.
