Booknizer Description
Even though most activities are conducted on a computer, including reading and writing, it does not mean they are going extinct, but merely adapting. When it comes to books, nearly any piece of fiction can be found in an electronic video or audio format, with applications like Booknizer letting you cleverly organize your virtual library.
Keep entries up to date with info from the Internet
The application puts a friendly workspace at your disposal, with features emphasized with large icons and cleverly arranged to be quickly accessible. You are able to include any book even if not in your possession.
Hitting the “Add book” button lets you select the method used to create a new entry. You can add a file from your hard disk drive or input the title and have it quickly looked up on the Internet.
An entry can be fitted with various info fields, ranging from common details to cover pictures and author related text.
Good but far from being a pro
Using available features, advanced filter conditions can be set. A side panel lets you find desired items in the database, either with the help of an integrated search engine or manually navigate through collections or authors.
Unfortunately, there is no option to view prices or buy books from the Internet using the application. Moreover, one of the biggest disappointments is that no integrated feature allows you to grab a book and start reading, unless doing so in an external application.
In conclusion
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Booknizer is a handy application to organize a virtual, vast collection of books, even if you don’t own them. It lacks several advanced features which could have made it more practical overall, but manages to live up to expectations.
