Nowadays, as technology thrives, we are more prone to using more and more of it to replace some of our actions with apparently more convenient ones. Take conferences or meetings, for example, which have been subjected to video calls and conferences that don’t require your physical presence in the conference room, as a laptop with webcam support is sufficient.
However, even if video calls are successfully replacing some social interactions, their quality is often not a desirable one, for several reasons, be it a slow Internet connection, hardware limitations or bad light.
CatchEye Lite is an application that was designed to correct some of those inconveniences by boosting the quality of the video calls in several manners, making them more appealing. Some of them include manual lighting correction, automatic panning and zooming, background replacement (available in CatchEye 3D), background blurring, face distortion correction and maintaining eye contact.
Even though it has no special hardware requirements, this program comes with its own requirements, which include but are not limited to an Internet connection and a built-in or external webcam. Furthermore, users can choose to integrate its functionality with several third-party video calling applications, including Facebook Messenger, Hangouts, Skype and others as well.
