Fractal Art Description
While there are plenty of impressive photos that can bring life to your desktop, a fractal-based, automatically-generated wallpaper can be just as impressive, and it is certainly unique.
Fractal Art is a relatively simple command-line program that can generate colorful images and save them locally or set them as your desktop background. It is a lightweight open-source utility that can be easily integrated into other projects.
Create unique wallpapers with a couple of mouse clicks
If all you want to do is generate an image and set it as your background, you only need to double-click the executable file. You will have a new wallpaper almost instantly, and the program is then shut down automatically.
It is possible to create a new wallpaper every time you open your PC by adding the application to the startup list, but the background image cannot be replaced at specific intervals.
You can check the screenshots to see if the generated wallpapers are to your liking. The pattern and color theme appears to be randomized for each operation, and it is sadly not possible to control these parameters.
Easy-to-use tool that offers a handful of customization options
By default, Fractal Art detects your desktop resolution and generates a wallpaper that will fit your desktop. However, you can also enter the desired width and height manually.
Moreover, you have the option of preventing the program from changing your wallpaper after generating an image, and you can also specify where on your hard drive the file should be saved.
The supported commands are simple enough, and they are all listed on the product’s website, along with some short descriptions and usage examples.
No-nonsense command-line tool for generating artistic wallpapers
In short, Fractal Art is a fairly simple open-source utility that enables you to create stylish fractal-based wallpapers. It offers a very basic feature set, but it can be integrated into other projects and used to create more complex applications that take advantage of its core functionality.
