iLanguage Description
iLanguage is meant to aid users in improving their vocabulary skills, as well as to train their memory. The application comes with several built-in workbooks and custom files can be imported.
A good tool to learn other languages, as well as to perfect the use of English
The default package contains eight wordbooks, out of which five are dictionaries. The other three are a Latin glossary and two general-knowledge or entertainment modules (“Capitals of the World” and “Famous quotes”).
While these options might seem few at first glance, they do accommodate most needs, at least with regards to dictionaries. The modules contain a fair amount of words and cover most basic needs.
Available dictionaries cover English to French or Japanese, as well as Russian and Latin to English. A standard English to English component is also available.
Learn and have fun at the same time
The other elements of the program deal essentially with education or entertainment. The Latin glossary is a nice resource for the day-to-day legacy phrases that are still used.
The “Capitals of the World” and the “Famous Quotes” can be quite fun, more-so when coupled with iLanguage’s test feature.
Every module contained in the software can be featured in the built-in quiz application. This is a great method of testing the acquired information and can also double as a game for younger users.
If the default selection of workbooks becomes dull, users can import new files, either from ZIP or from Excel files. This significantly increases the usefulness of the program!
A great resource for perfecting the vocabulary
To conclude, iLanguage is a comprehensive learning suite meant to perfect the vocabulary skills of users. Each built-in module comes with plenty of entries and fresh components can always be imported.
