jfVideo Creator Description
jfVideo Creator is a Java-based tool designed to help you join video files and add audio streams in the background or interleaved images. The application also supports adding video effects, such as cutting a larger file, blurring the images or text in the video.
Intuitive interface and easy usage
jfVideo Creator is designed as a lightweight and simple to use application for video editing, merging several clips together. The tool requires the FFMPEG codec and several libraries to work and prompts you where to acquire them, the first time you open it. The notification appears on the screen until the codecs have been detected in the proper folder.
You can indicate a folder containing multimedia files and the program can instantly sort its contents into images, videos and audio files. Before you can add the media items, you need to add one or several tracks that are saved as separate layers in the final video.
Video editing with this simplistic tool
jfVideo Creator allows you to add various media elements to a single track, as well as edit each item in the timeline. You can modify certain parameters for each type of media you add to the selected track. For instance, in the case of images, you can stretch the object, add transparency, set the frame’s duration or modify 3D effects.
You can manually change the frame rate, audio rate, audio channels, video size, plus video/audio bitrate. The program can also generate previews for all the changes you make.
Several weak points
jfVideo Creator requires that you install the codec it specifies when you open it the first time. Make sure that you download the proper codec pack, based on the architecture of the system on which you install/run jfVideo Creator. The program might need administrative rights to run and may crash when you try to change the 3D effects for the pictures. In many cases, the custom files cannot be added to the tracks.
