LogAnalyzer Description

Antimalware applications typically generate reports with all details surrounding a scan job to show you what’s happening on your computer. However, not all of them can be easily interpreted, depending on the complexity of the tool. To figure out what reports created by ZHPDiag, HijackThis and OTL mean, you can use LogAnalyzer.

Analyze logs made with ZHPDiag, HijackThis and OTL

This is a lightweight and portable application that analyzes the reports you specify, delivering a summary with the number of malware alerts, suspicious entries, security-related notifications, and others.

Although the app itself doesn’t have to be installed, it’s necessary to have .NET Framework on your PC or it won’t work properly. As far as the interface is concerned, LogAnalyzer adopts a simple, rudimentary-looking window that invites you to paste a log in the main window before clicking “Analyze”.

View a summary of the malware logs

The analysis job shouldn’t take long, depending on the length of the report. Afterward, you can check statistics as well as review the exact entries created by the antimalware application while keeping in mind that they are color-coded to easier spot the types of report entries: malware (red), suspicious (brown), security (blue), useless (orange), legit (green), hacked (yellow), no file and unknown (grey).

Furthermore, you can filter entries by any of these types, edit text content in your default text editor, enable HTTP mode, use a proxy, and search for a particular part of the log using a built-in finder.

Easy-to-use and effective log analyzer

The tool worked smoothly on Windows 10 in our tests, without any errors. It analyzed logs swiftly while remaining light on system resources usage.

Although it doesn’t have rich options and configuration settings, LogAnalyzer offers a simple solution for getting a summary of malware reports created with ZHPDiag, HijackThis and OTL.
