MapViewer Description
MapViewer is an advanced and reliable software solution developed to provide professionals with the means to display and analyze in detail the contents of maps, while also supporting the creation of up to sixteen different types of custom maps.
Intuitive and straightforward GUI
Appearance-wise, the application is quite user-friendly and accessible, meaning that prior experience with similar utilities represents a head-start, but not a necessity, so even novices can handle it from the first run.
The main window of MapViewer allows you to open and display the contents of your map, supporting a wide variety of file formats, including GSM, BNA, MDB, XLSX, SLK, SEG, DXF, DBF, CSV, ACCDB and others.
Effortlessly create, edit or analyze various map types
Subsequent to opening the file that you wish to work with or creating a blank one, you can discover the number and type of layers that it includes or add them yourself. You can separate them for a better viewing, for instance, while the zoom functions help you focus on a specific area of the map.
From the ‘Draw’ tab of MapViewer, you can work with ‘Text’, ‘Spline Polyline’, ‘Rectangle’, ‘Ellipse’ and other such shapes. You can also ‘Lock Objects’, adjust the ‘Boundary Backdrop’ values, or ‘Crop’ elements. Similarly, you can apply ‘Spatial’ or ‘Median’ ‘Filters’, as well as modify the colors’ ‘Saturation’, ‘Contrast’ or ‘Brightness’.
The ‘Boundary’ section enables you to ‘Emphasize’ certain elements, ‘Redefine’, ‘Thin’, ‘Smooth’ or ‘Reshape’ them, as well as ‘Reverse Direction’. Moreover, MapViewer allows you to ‘Connect’ or ‘Break Polylines’ and ‘Intersect Polygons’.
If required, you can run a ‘Query’ or ‘Make Report’ from the ‘Analysis’ tab of MapViewer, in order to get a clearer account of what the map includes; at the same time, you can also ‘Measure Distance’, or ‘Geocode’ the document.
A professional-grade map processing instrument
In summary, MapViewer proves to be a highly complex and efficient program aimed to offer you a wide array of tools necessary for working with maps, enabling you to create, edit and analyze them in just a few swift mouse moves.
