MsSqlToOracle Description

SQL databases are used in a wide variety of environments, from corporate settings to small-scale household data repositories. Combining good security with adequate data integrity checks has made them a very common sight.

However, at times one must migrate information to other storage media and, when dealing with Oracle data containers, MsSqlToOracle can do just that. Specifically, the application allows one to transfer information between the two servers quickly and without much hassle.

One can choose whether to migrate all the tables from the source database, or just selected items and the entire process is started with a simple click on the “Import” button. The four stage process requires that one first connect to the target and source items. If applicable, valid credentials have to be inserted.

Once this step is passed, users can view the internal structure of the source database, complete with column-specific headers.

Simple check buttons allow one to choose which items are actually transferred. Concerning the target database, two operations are available: replace and append tasks and, before migrating any data, one can specify the maximum allowed number of errors.

Other supported functions are the “Export from query” option, which can be employed to create customized transferal jobs. Most modules feature a preview of the final result and detailed logs are generated on all issued commands.

For all the cases when access to the computer is not possible, a scheduling wizard is available to guide users through all the basic steps required to create such operations.
