Multifle Description
Multifle is a useful and practical piece of software that enables you to transfer files over the Internet, via peer to peer connections, limiting the risk that someone else may gain access to your files, since they are not stored on any server or cloud and only the intended recipient can download them.
Intuitive and accessible usage
Subsequent to a quick and easy installation, you can launch the program and create an account based on an unique username and a password, or login, if you already have one.
The main window of Multifle allows you to activate or deactivate the ‘Receiver’ status of your system just by checking a box, while also enabling you to send files simply by dropping them over the tool’s interface.
Send and receive files through P2P connections
The application works using peer to peer networking, so the transferred files are never stored on any servers. It requires Internet connection, but if the task occurs between people situated behind the same router, it will not use any bandwidth.
To send a file to someone else, or even to yourself, on a different machine, you need to drag and drop the targeted item (it supports large items and folders as well, but will compress them, to save time). The next step consists of choosing a receiver: you can input their name and select the correct one from the provided list.
Optionally, the receival of a file can be performed only after permission is granted. The recipient will need to choose a destination for the item, or store it in a default path. A progress bar will keep you informed about the degree of completion of the task, and when complete, a popup dialog will let you know it is done.
A handy P2P file transfer instrument
In closing, Multifle is a practical and efficient utility that you can resort to for swiftly sending or receiving files from friends and family, without need to resort to online services, and possibly even jeopardize your safety, should some ill-intended individual gain access to them.
