MusiCHI Suite Lite Description
MusiCHI Suite Lite is a hi-fi audio player designed for audiophiles that is compatible with Direct Sound, WASAPI, and ASIO. Aside from delivering high-quality audio playback, the utility comes with support for music library manager and tagging options.
Clean feature lineup
The tool reveals a well-structured suite of features. You can change the looks of the GUI by selecting between different skins and making the font bigger or smaller.
Although the GUI may look a bit overwhelming at a first glance for less experienced users because it has a lot of options to offer, you should know the workspace is flexible and allows you hide or show several elements and specify the items that you want to be displayed.
Files can be dragged and dropped directly in the main panel. Importing audio files in the library can also be done using the built-in search manager. You can browse throughout the content of the folders stored in your computer with the aid of an Explorer-like layout and filter the files by extension (e.g. FLAC, MP3, WMA, MP4, APE, WAV, AIF).
Audio playback capabilities
You can play with three audio flavors, namely Classical, Jazz and Classique. The audio player enables you to play, pause or stop the current selection, adjust the volume, seek for a position in the audio streams, and go to the previous or next song in the list.
What’s more, you can create playlists which can be exported to XML, M3U or M3U8 file format, activate the loop mode, get details about each track (e.g. artist, sample rate, album, title), view cover images, assign ratings, and play songs in a random order by titles/tracks, compositions, or albums.
Music library manager
MusiCHI Suite Lite automatically organizes the files imported in the GUI by artist, genre and album. You can re-index and compact the library, remove folders from the library, delete duplicate entries, view recently added files, and perform searches throughout the library.
Advanced tagging options are included in the app for helping you set up audio tags (e.g. title, artist, composer, album, instruments, genre, rating, comments, publisher) and import cover photos. The album covers can be embedded inside the audio file or saved externally, and metadata is saved within the files so it can be read by other external audio players as well. Plus, you are given the freedom to set the output buffer size.
Final verdict
All things considered, MusiCHI Suite Lite integrates smart functions for a high-fidelity audio player and is able to deal with a large music collection. The music management and tagging capabilities make it all worthy of your attention. If you are looking for advanced features, such as tagger, library manager and ripper, you can check out MusiCHI Suite.
