My Screensaver Maker Description

My Screensaver Maker has a title that describes the application’s functionality – it allows you to easily create screensavers.

The interface of the program is based on a standard window in which you can create image, Flash, video or web screensavers.

In the case of images, you can import files by using the file browser (the “drag and drop” method is not supported but batch processing is).

In addition, you can insert music (in the MID, MP3, WMA or WAV format) and transitions (e.g. expand, unroll, build up, appear).

For the rest of the features, you can import songs, Flash files (optionally mute Flash sound), videos (in the AVI, ASF, WMV or MPEG format) and URLs.

Furthermore, you can arrange files and preview images, as well as configure options – set the time interval between two pictures, specify the background color, choose between the original size, full screen or fit to screen, and pick the image sequence (in order, random).

Moreover, you can set the music order (in order, random), as well as configure the exit option (on mouse move event or button click, on keyboard button press or display the exit button and can also exit by pressing the “Esc” key) and build setting (screensaver and author name, email, website).

Plus, you can press the “Installer” button to create your new screensaver as an executable file, after setting the output directory and name.

The program takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources and includes a step-by-step tutorial with snapshots. We haven’t come across any problems during our tests.

All in all, My Screensaver Maker is a pretty good tool for creating screensavers, but it doesn’t offer any kind of advanced features. Nevertheless, we recommend it to novices.
