NIR Color Description

NIR Color is a straightforward and intuitive program designed to help edit images using a broad range of effects and filters to transform them into pieces of art.

It’s wrapped in a modern and easy-to-use interface divided into two panels, where the main one is an editor pad, and the other displays some of the featured options.

It uses light technology along with infrared color filters such as violet, blue, green or yellow, together with all their combinations that can be inserted into your photos.

Add effects and create surreal scenery

In order to start, you have to open a file by browsing its location on the computer. You can also use the drag-and-drop method to insert an image into the panel.

Once loaded, you can explore all available MIR (near-infrared) filters. A few examples are cyan orange, green red, purple turquoise or silver buff. It’s possible to opt for extreme channels that make your picture look brighter than before.

If you’re not happy with how the effect looks like, the randomize function might come in handy, which generates a different combination of contrast and brightness. In addition, the tool lets you tweak these properties the way you want, such as the blowout and details, along with the primary and secondary colors, contrast, and grain strength.

In case the image is too big, it can be cropped to a particular dimension, zoomed in and out, as well as fitted to the window, or sized to the actual proportion. You can use the undo and redo functions to go back to the original design, in case mistakes are made.

Despite that, it would’ve been useful if the tool provided bulk editing options.

Conclusion

To conclude, NIR Color is a small and useful utility created to offer and efficient method of applying a wide variety of near-infrared filters to your images, and store them in your PC.
