NT Registry Analyzer Description
NT Registry Analyzer is a fast Windows utility designed to scan the registry for any invalid entries and delete them, in an attempt to restore some of the OS’s stability. It comes packed with intuitive options that can be figured out by all types of users, whether they have previous experience with registry cleaners or not.
Quick setup and seemingly outdated GUI
Installing this application should take minimal time and effort, since it bundles familiar options. Its interface looks outdated, though. Based on a small window, NT Registry Analyzer shows all registry locations that it scans, namely extension handlers, the programs location, common libraries, registered apps, COM and ActiveX objects, startup and uninstall section, along with the font, help and sounds area.
Scan the registry and fix issues
Unfortunately, it does not permit users to select the exact locations to scan, so it automatically looks into all of them. Results show the total number of errors discovered in each category.
Clicking them brings up an additional frame with a brief description for each entry. All you have to do is click the “Fix” button and NT Registry Analyzer will take care of the rest. The tool automatically backs up the original registry settings to file and allows you to restore them in case any OS stability issues occur.
Evaluation and conclusion
We have not come across any problems in our tests, since the app did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It is very responsive to commands and carries out scan jobs rapidly while remaining light on system resources. On the other hand, NT Registry Analyzer is pretty poor when it comes to its set of features. However, we must also take into account that it has not been updated for a considerable amount of time.
