Old Look Description
There are many ways to enhance your photos after they have been taken, but it is difficult if you do not have experience with image editors. Thankfully, there are plenty of intuitive apps that make it easier to perform these adjustments.
One of them is Old Look, an application designed to simulate the effects of aging using a variety of visual effects. It is easy to use, and it is available on both desktop and mobile devices.
Create aged photos with just a few mouse clicks
Once you have imported an image, you can just select one of the available presets and ignore the advanced customization options. There are plenty of presets to choose from, organized into relevant categories for easy access.
A preview of the output image is displayed in the main panel, so you can easily compare two presets. However, it would have been great if it were possible to switch between the original and modified image in order to better analyze the differences.
Fine-tune each parameter and come up with a unique look
If you feel that none of the presets are just right, you can play around with the settings from the right-hand panel. Unfortunately, though, you cannot save your own presets for future use.
Old Look allows you to modify the image’s exposure, brightness and contrast, alter the color levels, add noise, light leaks and various other types of visual effects.
The settings are not complex by any means, but no instructions are provided, so novices may need to resort to a trial and error approach to figure out how to make the most of the software’s capabilities.
Simple image editor that can give your photos an aged appearance
Old Look is very easy to use, and the numerous visual effects that are available give you almost endless possibilities when it comes to enhancing your photos. It can be used on both PCs and mobile devices, and it can import existing images or process those captured by your camera.
