PDFSplit Description
It’s safe to say that there is no real shortage of simple or full-featured, comprehensive utilities capable of helping you manage all aspects of PDFs.
This said, if you are simply looking for an application that is only capable of splitting PDF files then you might want to give PDFSplit a quick spin and see what’s what.
Overly-simplified app that does not even require installation
Not only is this application lightweight but is also very easy to get started with, mainly since it does not require installation. Simply download the package, unzip it, and launch PDFSplit via its executable file.
Upon first laying your eyes on its compact main window and simplistic, yet modern-looking interface, it becomes clear that this is a very intuitive, one-purpose app. Considering that every feature it has to offer is right on display, it should not come as a surprise that working with PDFSplit is basically a walk in the park.
Effortlessly split PDFs with just a few mouse clicks
Just add a PDF file, evidently, with more than one page, choose one of the three available split modes and click the ‘Split’ button from the lower right side of the main window.
You are provided with the possibility to split the PDF from one page ranging to another, to separate or extract any single page of your choosing or, even better, extract multiple pages from the original document. Once the button has been clicked, you are prompted to choose the destination for the output file, name the resulting file, and that’s about it.
Offers one of the most straightforward ways of splitting PDFs
Taking everything into careful consideration, while hardly impressive in any tangible way, PDFSplit is one of those perfect examples of lightweight apps that do their simple job flawlessly.
Even though the app works well, looks good and is extremely novice-accessible, we should point out that a preview feature would have been quite useful, but this by no means a deal breaker, mind you.
