Qdoc Description
Working as a Quality Engineer can sometimes be a challenging job since you are required to process significant amounts of paperwork.
However, there is a broad selection of software solutions that can help you simplify your work without significant efforts, such as Qdoc.
No setup required
Since it is a portable utility, you do not need to install it on your computer. Simply extracting the contents of its archive file and launching the executable component grants you access to all of its functions.
More so, you do not need to worry about it generating additional files or folders on your computer without your permission, nor about Windows registry modifications.
Plain user interface
Qdoc comes with a visually unappealing interface, which might feel quite counter-intuitive at times, or even non-responsive. The functions it encompasses are mainly available as buttons, organized on a simple toolbar in the main window.
Although this application lacks standard menus with brief descriptions, hovering your mouse pointer over the buttons displayed on the main screen provides you with helpful tooltips.
Generate various quality testing documents
You can turn to Qdoc if you need to create series of documents regarding quality testing, such as process flow diagrams, process FMEAs (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) and control plans.
For each of the document categories mentioned above, the application provides you with a History of Changes section, where you can add modifications to your projects and view them without effort.
Saves projects locally and on servers
This application packs an explorer utility that lets you access your projects and view their components in a quick, effortless manner.
More so, you can choose to export your documents to your computer or on a user-defined server by adjusting the corresponding parameter in the Options section, under the Saving and lists tab. Unfortunately, you cannot modify the local destination, as the program saves your projects in the installation folder by default.
Lightweight quality testing project assistant
To sum it up, Qdoc is a handy application that can help you generate various quality testing documents in a simple manner. It comes with an unprepossessing user interface that encompasses various functions, which are mainly available as buttons, and a simple configuration menu.
