Reverberate Description
Convolution reverb refers to a process used in audio signal processing that is commonly used to stimulate the persistence of a sound after it is produced in a physical or virtual space. As the name suggests, Reverberate is a plugin that enables you to obtain a richer sounding reverb using modulations and post-processing effects.
Comes with advanced Impulse Response Editors
First off, you should know that you need the VST host in order to access the plugin and start processing sounds. The impulse response (IR) tabs are the first tabs you can preview when launching the app and they are the location where you can load one or two stereo signals for further tweaking. The utility allows you to determine which file is to be used in the IRs.
It is necessary to mention that the plugin allows you to choose between three topologies for convolution, namely parallel stereo, true stereo and mono to stereo. While you can also access the Fusion function, you should know that these files include multiple IRs from the same source at different moments.
Includes a mixer tab for fine tuning
The program allows you to set the levels of impulse responses and cross-fade effects between them from the Mixer function. In addition, you can manage the speed of the modulation using the LFO controls and the panning is provided for both IRs. Therefore, you can control the position of the panning for the impulse responses relative to each other.
The other noteworthy functions included in the mixer tab that you can use to process audio sounds include IR Balance, Final Mix, IR Chaining, Mono/Stereo Output Mixing and the Stereo Channel Invert. The latter enables you to switch between channels and provides you with more space when you are feeling creative, for instance.
A tool for post-processing audio signals
All in all, Reverberate comes with numerous flexible features that can help you obtain a true reverb signal using separate IRs for the left and the right channel.
