SHOWBOARD Description
Nowadays, there are so many things that you have to remember on a daily basis that you may end up being overwhelmed. With the right application at your side, however, you can stay on top of all your activities and ensure you never forget anything ever again.
SHOWBOARD is a straightforward Windows program designed to help you store important information in an easily accessible format, organize it into multiple lists and find what you are looking for in no time.
Simple application that has various uses, but offers limited functionality
SHOWBOARD is mostly designed to help you store data that you need to remember, but there is nothing stopping you from adding to-do lists, scheduled activities or any other type of information.
However, you can only create five personalized lists, and the process of adding new items, while being rather simple, is somewhat counter-intuitive. The unit converters included in each tab are likely to prove useful, but you cannot assign a specific one to a certain list.
A basic search function is included, but it can only be used to find items within a specific list, as you cannot scan all of them at the same time. It is also worth noting that longer notes are not always displayed in their entirety.
Features a very outdated interface
It does not take more than a single glance to realize that SHOWBOARD is an application in dire need of a modernized interface. Its visual design would have looked outdated more than ten years ago, and now it stands out like a sore thumb when run on modern operating systems.
No alternative themes are available, although it is possible to customize the background and text color, as well as change the default font. However, the application window cannot be resized.
Unimpressive utility that could use many improvements
Essentially, SHOWBOARD does not offer enough features to be considered a good alternative to other applications that perform similar functions, although some users may prefer it for its simple layout.
Also, its interface needs to be completely redesigned, as the program’s outdated appearance is likely to drive away many potential users.
