WeSay Description
WeSay is a software tool designed to help you create dictionaries in different languages. It is pretty useful for all users who want to create a word database from scratch.
It sports a simplistic interface that can be easily handled even by less experienced users.
The developer didn’t include many configuration settings and tried to keep things as simple as possible so you can create dictionaries pretty easily without having to go through special tutorials. The app provides a built-in search engine that allows you to quickly find the language you are looking for. An extensive list with all the languages available in the app is also included in the program.
WeSay allows you to browse and edit the current created dictionary, to add meanings, parts of speech, example sentences, base forms and to gather words by semantic domain. The aforementioned tasks can be enabled or disabled according to your needs.
There are several settings included in the app that can help you configure IPA transcription and voice. You may change the font style and select how the words should be sorted in the dictionary.
Furthermore, the program allows you to select what fields should be displayed in the dictionary (word, citation form, literal meaning, definition, translation examples and others). You may export the project to HTML, PDF, SFM or OpenOffice, and share it with your friends, provided that you have specified the Internet connection.
It also keeps a history of the project with all the actions performed. Adding personal notes is particularly simple.
