AccStore Description
While it is recommended to follow the advice of security experts and use unique, complex passwords to protect your accounts, there is no way you can possibly remember them all without assistance.
AccStore is a lightweight and unobtrusive application that can offer a solution, as it is capable of storing your account credentials and providing access to them instantly whenever they are required.
Store usernames and passwords in a secure database
You need to provide a master password when launching the application for the first time, and no one will be able to view the added accounts without providing this key once the initial configurations have been completed.
The process of storing accounts is relatively straightforward, although it would help if it were possible to import this data from a spreadsheet, as some users may wish to transfer their stored accounts from another password manager.
Unfortunately, the entries cannot be sorted in any way, and it is not possible to organize them into groups. Also, no search function is included.
Write your user IDs and passwords by pressing a simple hotkey
Whenever you wish to access the stored information you only need to click the application’s system tray icon. You will be prompted to provide your master password every time, and it is sadly not possible to disable this check or reduce its frequency.
Once you have selected an account, you will be able to paste your username and password by pressing one of the assigned hotkeys. The operation is not at all complex, but it would be great if you had the option of remapping the default key bindings.
Straightforward and unobtrusive password manager
All things considered, AccStore is a promising application that could become a great alternative to established password managers if it is improved in certain respects. Some additional features would also be very welcome, the most important one being a built-in password generator.
