Ares Galaxy EZ Booster Description
Torrent clients have options for limiting the download and upload speed but it mostly depends on the quality of your Internet connection as well as the number of peers. If you’re searching for a way to speed up file downloads when using Ares Galaxy, you can take a look at Ares Galaxy EZ Booster.
Speed up file downloads using Ares Galaxy
This is a simple and straightforward application that silently runs in the system ray and applies optimized settings to Ares Galaxy, aiming to make it download files quicker than usual. It has a brief set of options that can be easily configured without special experience in torrent clients.
To be able to work with this app, it’s evidently necessary to have Ares Galaxy up and running on your PC. Besides that, it’s also necessary to download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package unless you already have it. Although the tool has an option for fetching this program from Microsoft’s website, it failed to work properly in our evaluation.
Pick the network interface and enable acceleration
Once installed, you come face to face with a simple window that shows buttons for enabling and disabling acceleration, minimizing the tool to the system tray, and quitting to the desktop. You can also choose the network interface used for file downloads via Ares Galaxy as well as view a history graph and statistics with the network type, sent and received bytes, duration (since starting Ares Galaxy EZ Booster), and accelerator duration.
The utility can be minimized to the systray to become non-instrusive. Moreover, you can ask it to run at every Windows startup without your intervention from the right-click menu of the systray icon.
It had minimal impact on the computer’s performance in our tests. Unfortunately, we haven’t noticed significant changes in download speed so we’re not sure whether it’s beneficial to Ares Galaxy or not. Nevertheless, you can test it for yourself.
