AutoCAD DWG to DXF Description
AutoCAD DWG to DXF is a simple-to-use software application that allows you to convert AutoCAD files between Drawings (DWG) and Drawing Exchange Format items (DXF). It can be handled even by less experienced users.
The interface of the program is based on a standard window where you can import items into the file list by using the file browser or folder view (‘drag and drop’ is not supported). Handling multiple items at the same time is possible.
The file queue shows the source path and status for each item. All you have to do is establish the output directory, format and file version (ranging from AutoCAD 2.5 to AutoCAD 2010), in order to proceed with the conversion operation.
In addition, you can make Drawing Exchange Format include subdirectories, as well as remove selected items from the list or clear the entire file queue.
The AutoCAD conversion program requires a very low amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a good quality regarding graphics. No error dialogs have been displayed throughout our testing and Drawing Exchange Format did not freeze or crash; we have not come across any issues.
On the downside, Drawing Exchange Format does not come with any advanced settings that you can configure. For example, you cannot select which types of objects to convert or make the app open the output directory when all tasks are done. No recent updates have been made.
