Briz Camera Calibrator Description
When working with large amounts of cameras, to create clips that need to be used in the same project, it is important for them to have similar color profiles. This can be difficult, as color settings can vary greatly between multiple devices.
Briz Camera Calibrator is a simple application, designed to allow you to create 3D lookup tables from custom calibration images, then save them to one of the numerous supported formats.
Load custom reference images
After launching the application, you are required to open a calibration image. The program supports the following file formats: JPG, BMP, ICO, EMF and WMF.
Briz Camera Calibrator allows you to select the color checker type, as both ColorChecker Classic (Macbeth ColorChecker) and ColorChecker Digital SG are supported. You can then specify which region should be used for calibration by dragging the mouse pointer over the image.
You can choose to only calibrate color shifts and have the application ignore brightness and contrast. Also, it is possible to preview the calibration results before creating a 3D LUT file.
Supports multiple LUT formats
Briz Camera Calibrator can save lookup tables to various LUT formats, including Cube 3D, 3DL, Autodesk Lustre, Truelight, Nucoda, Tecnhicolor, Fusion, Pandora and many others.
Depending on the output format, you may also be able to specify the LUT dimension size.
Features a minimalistic interface and lacks documentation
The application offers a simplistic user interface that does not support drag and drop actions, which would be useful for easily loading calibration image files.
Moreover, no documentation is included. As a result, some users may have difficulties understanding many of the program’s functions.
All in all, Briz Camera Calibrator is a useful tool for those who need to calibrate multiple devices for multi-camera shooting and broadcasting. However, due to its lack of included documentation, users that lack specialized knowledge may have difficulties operating the application.
