CDInfo Description
CDInfo is a very simple Windows application developed to show details about an inserted CD.
All information is grouped in just a single window with a plain and simple design, so you shouldn’t encounter too many problems if you understand the displayed items.
CDInfo for example shows the label of each disc, but also the application that was used for burning, creation and modification date, directory start and length.
There are no configuration options and truth is, you probably don’t even need one because it all comes down to showing the essential disc information and nothing more.
A “Refresh” button is however available in case you insert a new CD and CDInfo doesn’t automatically display the new information.
The good thing is that the program doesn’t need more than a few seconds to scan and collect the details. It doesn’t affect system performance in any way and CPU usage remains very low after launching the app.
Of course, a help section is missing too, but that’s not at all a problem since you have nothing else to do than to read the displayed information. The amount of details however is quite reduced, and some of the other similar apps on the market offer you much more than that.
Overall, CDInfo makes for an interesting project that needs further updates to become one of the top apps in this particular software category. Basic computer knowledge is all you need to take the most out of this app.
