CEqEA Description
Digital tools are widely employed in cutting-edge scientific forays, more-so with the emergence of sophisticated and resource-intensive quantitative methods. Genetics has been one such field that has greatly benefited from the exponential increase in simulators, modelers, and analyzers.
Employ the MIG scripting language for biological modeling
One tool designed to assists biologists is CEqEA, which seeks to provide comprehensive DNA sequencing models, based on custom scripts made using MIG language. In essence, the application can be employed as a computerized tool for the study of any phenomenon in Systems Biology, but it is best suited for applications in Genetics (e.g. gene regulation).
Although inherently complex in nature, users will find the GUI highly intuitive and easy to understand. This being said, it must be noted that the program employs MIG language for its programming scripts, so users should be familiar with the code language and syntax. A large frame controls the area where scripts are entered while a few menu items allow for some customization of the final model.
Use causation models and customized predictors to improve results
Before any scripts are run, several options can be selected to improve results. For example, intentional or extensional causation models can be used and one is free to employ state interpolation predictions. Also, a notable feature is the ability to control the analysis stages, by including linear states, diagrams, and predictions.
Once users are satisfied with their initial parameters, a simple mouse click on the “Compile” button runs the script and displays the results. It should be noted that the program requires Graphviz to create project diagrams.
The software is a digital tool for the study and modeling of predictions of target biological systems
All things considered, CeqEA is valuable for biologists and other affiliated professionals who want an automation tool for CEq analyses.
