FM Live Description
FM Live is a feature-rich software application which facilitates user access to a wide array of online radio stations, providing multiple useful features for ensuring a smooth music listening experience.
With a modern interface that seamlessly integrates into the Windows 8 environment, FM Live brings a clean layout with several app-like options of different colors, making it easy even for less experienced users to navigate and tinker with settings.
You can access radio stations from all over the world by simply selecting the country of origin from a drop-down menu; the shown radio channels are organized into app-like buttons.
Aside from basic audio player controls (e.g. stop stream, go to previous/next channel, volume control), you have the possibility of creating your own list of favorite channels, by inputting a name, frequency, city, country, streaming URL and button for each of them.
FM Live also lets you record streams to file (WAV format), thus allowing you to listen to your favorite pieces on portable devices, create and organize a favorites/bookmarks list, schedule tasks (channel swapping, or channel swapping and recording), as well as view a list with recently accessed stations.
It puts at your disposal a backup and restore service for the database and settings. Unfortunately, FM Live does not comprise a search function, or let you view radio stations by genre, stream type and other relevant fields.
The application uses a moderate-to-high amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and works smoothly, delivering quality audio, whether we’re talking about the online stream or saved recordings. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests, and the tool did not hang or crash. Thanks to its modern layout and rich features, FM Live should please the entire audience.
