Formatter Description
Formatter is a specialized software solution that can help you format various drives that are connected to your system in a quick, convenient manner and without significant efforts.
Formats your drives
This application can help you format your desired drives in a simple, effortless manner by providing you with a simplistic user interface that packs a bunch of relevant functions. It is advised to grant administrator rights to the application so that it can perform the selected operations as intended.
You just have to choose the drive you want to format by clicking the corresponding icon from the left side of the screen and select the file system type and the formatting type. You can also assign a new name to the formatted drive by typing it in the designated field.
Multiple file system and formatting types
After you select the drive and assign it a name, you need to select a file system type from the list by clicking the button that matches your preferences. You can choose from FAT32, NTFS and UDF file system types.
The “Formatting Power” section enables you to choose from 4 formatting types: Speed, Normal, Maximum and Wipe. The last one in the list can take longer to complete, so it’s recommended to perform this operation overnight or when you don’t need to use your PC for a while.
No installation needed
You don’t need to install this application on your computer since it is portable and simply launching its executable grants you full access to its controls.
More so, you can run it from removable media and not worry about it tampering with any of your Windows registry entries or creating additional files or folders on your computer.
Handy formatting tool
All things considered, Formatter is a lightweight, handy application that can help you format drives available on your system. It lets you choose from three file system types and four formatting modes. It doesn’t require installation and its interface is simple enough to be operated even by novices. However, caution should be advised, since this tool can delete files beyond recovery.
