HearTheRadio Description
If you enjoy radio shows and want a way of listening to your favorite content without a physical player, then you can use specialized software, such as HearTheRadio.
HearTheRadio does not require an antenna, therefore it is unable to receive radio waves in FM or AM, yet you can use it to access a wide variety of Web radio stations.
Simple, basic interface
This application comes with a catchy default layout that simulates an MP3 player and makes it possible for you to use it with minimum effort. HearTheRadio features a list of preset radio stations that you can listen to, a play/pause button and volume controls.
Useful radio station browser
HearTheRadio provides you with a dedicated browser that you can use to quickly locate the content you want. The browser includes three websites and each one of them is specific to a continent (Europe, Australia and New Zealand).
It is possible to use information from the aforementioned browser to populate the radio stations list. In order to add a new entry, you need to provide the application with a name and valid URL.
Handy Facebook share function
HearTheRadio allows you to share the station you are currently listening to on Facebook by accessing the corresponding option from the menu.
Furthermore, you can control the application’s interface by pressing certain keyboard buttons (Page Up, Page Down) or combinations (Alt + Page Up, Alt + Page Down). This feature can also be disabled, so that hotkeys do not interfere with other programs.
Simple radio player
In terms of innovation, this program does not encompass new functions, since you can only create a list of your favorite radio stations and listen to them.
To sum it up, HearTheRadio can prove to be a valuable asset, if you are in need of a basic Internet radio player that includes station browsing functions and allows you to manage your content using lists.
