InftyEditor Description
InftyEditor is a reliable tool that allows you to quickly type complex scientific formulas, using a suitable environment. The program integrates LaTeX capabilities, in order to help you quickly define mathematical algorithms, such as sums, integrals, fractions or limits, with several superscript or subscript symbols.
Mathematics and chemistry editor
InftyEditor offers a comprehensive text editor with LaTeX functions, which allows you to instantly define symbols, such as square roots, Greek letters, fractions. You may easily switch from the plain text mode, indicated by the “T” button, to Math mode (“M” button), in order to activate the specific syntax support.
The Math mode contains character sets, symbols and formulas. Each line end is marked with a specific symbol and the LaTeX Source bar indicates the code for each graphic representation in the editor. Defining a particular function can easily be set, by typing a backslash on your keyboard, in order to prompt the LaTeX command menu. All the supported functions and special syntax are listed in the drop down menu.
Use the arrow keys in order to customize the functions
For complex symbols, such as integrals, sums or multi-level square root, you need to enter various additional characters, such as superscripts or subscripts. You may easily navigate and fill in the required symbols using the arrow keys. Detailed instructions on how to define required elements are contained in the Help window.
Alternatively, you can select the desired character from the context menu. Right-click on the surface of the editor grants you access to the list of characters and formulas. Up to five recently used characters are separately displayed, for cases when the same symbol is repeatedly added.
Chemistry mode and additional functions
InftyEditor allows you to also switch to Chemistry mode, using the “C” button in the tool bar. The function enables specific syntax for chemical elements formulas. Moreover, the program allows you to embed pictures, insert tables or handwriting. The text can be exported as a LaTeX file, MathML, HTML, Human readable TeX or Word 2007 document.
