InkTools Description

When working with PowerPoint presentations, if changes / on-screen interaction is required in the slideshow mode, one must either return to the editing mode or use additional pointers and devices. InkTools will provide an intuitive solution for such problems, by offering a special drawing menu that will appear during the slideshow mode of the presentations. This menu will allow users to navigate through the presentation, add new slides or interact with the content through drawing.

Minimalist PowerPoint add-in that enhances presentation interaction through user-friendly drawing tools

InkTools is deployed as a separate add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint and users will be able to enable it by either starting the slideshow or right clicking anywhere on the slide. Featuring a swift installation process and requiring no setup procedures, InkTool will be ready to use right away.

Users will be able to select either a horizontal or vertical layout for its features, depending on the requirements of the different presentations. They will be able to use a cursor for navigating through the slides or draw freely across the slide, with the chosen color.

Integration with tablets, interactive projectors / whiteboards, but with basic drawing features

Users will be able to use this add-in when presenting their slideshows on tablets or interactive projectors and this way they will be able to make the audience more captivated. One can use freehand drawing when trying to explain the contents of a slide or add a blank slide altogether and write or draw hints / shapes on it.

However, the drawing capabilities of InkTools are quite rudimentary and for example, the drawn content can only be erased as a complete shape and not freehand, selectively. This might annoy users since they could end up erasing and redrawing many times in order to achieve the desired result.

Friendly solution for interacting with the contents of your PowerPoint presentations

InkTool will be a good choice for those who require an easy-to-use add-in for drawing or adding new slides during the slideshow mode of presentations. It will enhance the interaction and it will improve the understanding of the audience. However, its drawing capabilities are crude to say the least and this cannot recommend it to demanding users, especially when projector or whiteboard producers have more advanced built-in drawing tools.
