JSToolNpp Description
Formerly known as JSMinNpp, JSToolNpp is a simple to use tool that enables you to highlight and manage JavaScript syntax, built especially for Notepad++. It works as a plugin and can easily be accessed from the dedicated menu in Notepad++.
It is designed to minimize the JavaScript code and simplify your script and it also allows you to observe the desired data in a JSON viewer. The tool is suitable for managing even large files, over 10 MB in size.
Installing the tool is simple since all you need to do is copy the dynamic link library in the designated folder in the Notepad++ install directory. The function can be accessed from the Plugin menu in the program’s interface.
JSToolNpp allows you to select one of the available options for the end of the line: the Windows style (CRLF \r\n) or the Unix style (LF \n).
Moreover, you can choose to keep all the comments at the top of the codes and change the text formatting.
The tool enables you to modify the indentation mode, by replacing the use of the tab key with a specified number of spaces.
You may also choose to keep the indent on empty lines, however this option is not recommended. Additionally, you can set the program to automatically add a new line before any curled bracket symbol.
The Notepad++ integration also creates new shortcuts, which refresh the current text format to the established options and prompt the JSON viewer.
The viewer is displayed as a column on the left of the program’s main window and features a simple searching engine.
