Kingsoft Spreadsheets 2012 is a software utility which lets people create, edit, print and save spreadsheets, bundled with an array of options.
The uneventful installation brings you to an intuitive interface, which can be used by any type of person, regardless of his or her previous experience with computers. In addition to that, the UI’s design closely resembles the one used in Microsoft Excel 2007.
The tool can open and save spreadsheets in formats such as ET, XLS, XLT, CSV, TXT, XML, HTML and DBF, while it is possible to export entire workbooks or active sheet(s) as PDF files.
You can undo or redo actions, cut, copy, paste (normal or as picture), delete and erase elements, change the view from normal to print or reading layout, show or hide toolbars, as well as zoom in and out.
The program integrates picture editing options, such as tweaking the contrast and brightness, compress, rotate or crop images, and import others in formats such as EMF, JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF and TIF.
There are multiple tab styles built in the application you can choose from, and it is possible to adjust the text alignment, change font type, style, size and color, customize table borders, rows and columns.
All the data can be sorted alphabetically, you can use a spell checker, as well as insert an array of functions, such as those commonly used (sum, average, count, if etc.), financial (db, fv, pv, rate etc.), informational (cell, istext, islogical etc.) and reference (address, evaluate, match, transpose etc.).
To conclude, Kingsoft Spreadsheets 2012 is a useful piece of software, and represents a pretty good alternative to Microsoft Excel. We did not register any errors, bugs or crashes, and response time is good.
