Magic Word Recovery Description
Magic Word Recovery is a powerful tool that is capable of retrieving lost, damaged or otherwise corrupted documents. The program specializes in identifying traces of documents and supports files created with Microsoft Word, OpenOffice Writer, .RTFs or simple text files. It can easily find and repair corrupted documents.
Drive scan and recovery
Magic Word Recovery is a suitable tool for users who wish to retrieve lost or damaged documents. The program can identify the available disks and perform the search on a single one at a time, for more accurate results.
It features two scanning methods, the Fast scan and the Full analysis. The former process is dedicated to undeleting recently erased files, while the latter is designed to recover information about lost and damaged documents. Moreover, it can restore the file system and as a result, all relevant documents as well.
Preview and recovery of the files
Magic Word Recovery can retrieve documents pending the drive scan, but it can also use a virtual disk image in order to restore the file system to the desired state. Moreover, Magic Word Recovery also allows you to create a virtual disk image for an entire drive or for the selected segment.
In order to shorten the duration of the process, the software allows you to set file filters, such as size and date of creation/modification/last access. This way, you can optimize the scan and only retrieve relevant files. Additionally, you can create an extension filter, in order to ignore the unnecessary files: .DOC/.DOCX/.DOT, .ODT, .PDB, .RTF, .WPD, .WRI, .TXT.
Saving recovered files
Magic Word Recovery allows you to save the restored files to a specific folder on your computer and recommends you that you choose a different drive for storage. You may select only the files you wish to recover, then move to the saving step: they can also be directly burned to a disc, saved to an ISO virtual image or uploaded to a remote location via FTP.
