Nutrient Calculator Description
Nutrient Calculator is a simple to use application that allows you to calculate the amount of nutrients you receive with each meal. The program comes with a built-in library of foods and food groups. Therefore, all you need to do is select the meal components from the list and add them to your menu.
Vast food database
Nutrient Calculator features a large collection of food information sheets, which you can use in order to build each of your meals. Simply select the food group from the drop down menu, then all the entries in the chosen category are displayed in the table below.
Click on the desired ingredient, then type in the quantity and add it to the meal plan. The number of food types is displayed in the title bar of the selection window and it over passes 800. The groups include baked foods, beef products, beverages, cereal, dairy, egg, fats, poultry, soups, snacks or sweets.
Create specific menus at home or at restaurants
Nutrient Calculator is designed to help you stay in good health and shape, by indicating the nutrients you acquire with each meal. The program includes both general food groups, such as meats or cereal, as well as specific restaurant dishes.
Moreover, the application contains information on prepared/unprepared foods from various brands, such as frozen, canned or boxed dishes. This way, you can find the exact nutrients for the quantity of food you eat: carbohydrates, energy, fats, acids, fiber, protein, potassium, salt, sugars, vitamins and other elements.
Monitor the content of your meals
Nutrient Calculator offers you a vast library of nutrients and the foods that contain them. You can easily select the food type and the quantity in grams, cups or servings. However, you cannot append the database, by editing the nutrients in each food or by adding new dishes. Moreover, you cannot export the list of nutrients, print or save it within the program.
