OpenRocket is a complex piece of software that allows you to design detailed rockets using various parts, and then you can simulate the effectiveness of your project.

Although OpenRocket is an advanced program, with a multitude of functions and options, the process of designing the rocket seems quite intuitive, thanks to the well-organized layout.
Every adjustment you make or every component you add it is immediately updated and displayed in the preview panel, allowing you to easily modify your project until you have the perfect model.
OpenRocket offers you many preview modes, allowing you to view a technical schematic, a side or a back view and a 3D model which you can freely drag around in order inspect your rocket on every side possible.
Various parts and components
You can pick from a multitude of nose cones, body tubes or fin sets made for your rocket, and also, you can choose what material the parts should be of.
You can add engine blocks, parachutes and even mass components to your rocket. Each of the parts simulates real objects created by real manufacturers.
