Page Shot for Firefox Description
PageShot is a Firefox addon that gives you the possibility to seamlessly capture snippets and save images locally or create an online collection that can be shared with your friends by creating URLs on the spot.
Draw regions to capture images while using Firefox
Designed by Mozilla, it’s part of Firefox Test Pilot and aims to improve your browsing experience by quickly saving images or text for later viewing or reading.
You can draw a custom region while keeping an eye on the mouse cursor since it calculates the image’s width and height at the current mouse position and shows it in real time. Even after releasing the mouse, you can make tweaks to the image by clicking and dragging its margins or corners.
Download snapshots and create shareable links
The image can be downloaded to PNG file format right away, saved to your snapshot collection or cancelled. Pics saved in the collection are auto-stored to the clipboard, an aspect indicated by a notification message that appears from the lower-right corner of the window. There’s also an option for capturing the full page.
In the following step, you can take a better look at the image, delete it if you change your mind, download it, as well as share it on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, email or by creating a temporary shareable link. By default, the shareable links are kept alive for 14 days but you can decrease this interval down to 10 minutes or increase it up to permanent hosting.
Modest screenshot grabber for Firefox users
Furthermore, you view your entire collection of snapshots, remove any entry, swiftly locate a shot by window title using a search function, as well as modify the default service URL for storing all grabbed images.
We haven’t experienced any stability problems with the newest Firefox edition in our testing. However, PageShot is not that different from other Firefox addons with similar functionality created by third-party developers. We’re looking forward to new and exciting features.
