Programmer’s Notepad Description
Programmer’s Notepad is a feature-rich software application that allows you to edit text in an environment developed for writing programming code. It supports plenty of platforms, such as C/C++, C#, Assembler, MatLab, HTML, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby, XML and Pyhton.
The GUI of the program is familiar and pretty intuitive. Aside from some standard text processing functions (undo, redo, cut, copy), Programmer’s Notepad integrates functions like ‘Clipboard Swap’ (allows you to swap the Clipboard content with the selected text).
Furthermore, you can perform several operations on lines and selections (e.g. duplicate, transpose, move, compress white space, strip trailing blanks), enable autocomplete and syntax highlighting features, as well as insert a text clip.
Additionally, you may convert selected characters to lowercase or uppercase, block comments, use an extensive search and replace function, display bookmarks, zoom in and out, as well as change the UI scheme. When it comes to making modifications to the appearance of the utility, it is possible to customize the toolbar.
Programmer’s Notepad comes with an extensive range of configurable settings. For example, you can allow multiple instances, automatic backup creation, and the editing of read-only files. We have not encountered any difficulties during our testing; Programmer’s Notepad did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs.
