Samsung Link Description
Samsung Link is a dedicated Samsung service that helps all compatible devices be connected and gain access to the same data.
Thus, users can easily search for videos, play them, enjoy photos or listen to music, no matter if they are using dedicated TV sets, mobile phones, digital cameras or computers. A specialized software solution is required to enable PCs to share data using this interface and the app is called Samsung Link.
Supported operating systems
It can be run on all machines running one of the latest Windows operating systems, as long as they also have .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or higher installed, as well as at least 2 GB of RAM. Thanks to this utility, users can easily share and stream multimedia content via a device-to-device local network.
Clean feature lineup
The application’s interface is neatly organized and users can add one or several folders where the files they want to share are stored. Once these directories are added, one can easily play audio or video files on remotely connected devices – alternatively, items can be grouped in playlists and only then played on the remote device.
Other actions that can be performed using Samsung Link is that users can transfer their audio, video or graphic files to a certain device, as well as backup remote item to the computer.
Default shared folder
Samsung Link enables users to specify default folders for sharing, so instead of manually adding multimedia files within the main window, users can copy them directly to the chosen directories, so that they can find them faster when they want to play them.
Bottom line
In a nutshell, Samsung Link can help users turn their computer into a device that is connected with their Samsung phones or digital camcorders, then share contents via a network. No expert skills are required to connect the PC and the devices as they are automatically detected.
