The Bat! Updater Description
This package provides the latest unstable (Alpha or Beta) version for The Bat!, allowing daring users to get a glimpse at recently added and sometimes experimental features that have not yet been included in the official stable release. Please note that this version should only be used for testing purposes and not as a permanent e-mail client.
The installation is simple. You just have to unpack the RAR archive (be careful to download the one that matches your PC’s architecture – x86 or x64), copy the TheBat.EXE file and replace the stable main executable with the Beta or Alpha one. This way, the EXE file will have everything it needs to launch the Beta version of The Bat! mail client.
As this is an unstable release that might have bugs and which can trigger errors or fail to run the email client properly, it is advisable that you don’t delete the stable executable file, so you can restore it in its original location, if needed. Furthermore, it is recommended that you create a backup of your data and configuration settings, just in case anything goes wrong.
The Bat! is one of the most popular mail clients, with support for IMAP, POP, EWS and MAPI protocols, providing advanced options for managing large mailboxes and a user-friendly environment to work in. It features advanced data protection options, using on-the-fly encryption using passwords or USB tokens. It is the go-to e-mail client for many corporate and individual users when it comes to choosing from the available alternatives out there.
